In this study, a virtual market was developed on a remote server based on the use of mobile devices. The aim of the developed market is to increase the interaction of the producers and the consumers and to increase the growth of the real markets and to contribute to the resuscitation of these markets.
For the study, the Android operating system was chosen as the mobile platform and considered as the target audience. The hardware features of the mobile devices are used in order for application users to participate more efficiently in the market. These are mainly: GPS for location and camera for product image. The task of the remote server processes supply or demand, and appends them to the database appropriately. In this respect, mobile – web relationship is completed and the project is working.
To develop the Android project, a package called the software development kit for the application is written and a basic package of tools is written to write the application using these package classes. The application has been developed thanks to these Java packages. The connection of the mobile application to the server is provided by HTTP post and the data is transferred as JSON. For the database, the MySQL language and the InnoDB engine are used.
